Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Gets a Permanent Price Cut in India


Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has received a price fall in India, with Xiaomi evidently looking to make its big display smartphone even more pocketable. The smartphone, originally launched in July, is now available for as low as Rs. 13,999. This represents a Rs. On the flip side, the 64GB variant of Mi Max two will now cost Rs. 15,999, down from Rs. 16,999. Flipkart is making the deal even sweeter by offering you an exchange discount of up to Rs. 15,000 in return of your existing handset.

Xiaomi VP and Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain confirmed the new development through a tweet on Monday. “BIG now costs less! Announcing a permanent price drop of Rs. 1000 on the two variants on #MiMaxtwo,” Jain tweeted.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is the successor to the original Mi Max that has been unveiled in May. The smartphone includes a 6.44-inch IPS display with 1080×1920 pixels (full-HD) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Underneath the hood, the handset has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC with an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 506 GPU. That is a 12-megapixel primary camera detector with f/2.2 aperture and dual-LED flash along with a 5-megapixel secondary detector with an f/2.0 aperture lens. The handset packs a 5300mAh battery also runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating program with MIUI 8.0.

In addition the price-drop of this Mi Max two, Xiaomi is all set to launch a new selfie-centric smartphone in India on November 3.

Last week, Xiaomi announced that it sold more than four million smartphone units in India within a month. The Beijing-based company had claimed that it sold over a million devices through its Mi.com online store in the country.
